A king always tends to his subjects. B)

That tends to be the problem when you conquer a nation and allow the former rulers to live: They think they actually have a position to hold when a higher superiority figure takes over any claim they have through force or otherwise. While being king, he is both kind and firm to his newly gained land. And through his rule, the country prospered in both wealth and tourism!

However, Gilgamesh's patience was not exactly a virtue he was known for. Where he was kind to those who show their loyalty, he was especially firm with those who disobey or seek to challenge him in even the slightest of ways. And receiving news of his generous decision of allowing the former princess to be his own personal handmaiden to even refuse to do the simplest task was enough to provoke his ire.

Normally he would just fetch guards to bring the rebellious girl before him on the throne, but he knew the best way to put an unruly servant back in their place is to tear down their own 'safety hole'... namely her own personal quarters, to show that there is no place to hide from her master when he is on the prowl.

And as soon as foot steps were heard outside her door, there was no knock. There wasn't even an announcement. Just a door being slammed open and a pair of handmaidens hiding in the hallway away from their irate king as the king himself bore his eyes full of discontent at the girl underneath that pile of blankets and said one small thing.

"... just what do you think you're doing?"
