Fate/Call Me Out 2020

Fate/Call Me Out Post 2020
1.) This is mainly a CMO post for my Fate characters and maybe Sacchin if you want to count her. But that's it. Just reply to whatever character you want to thread with.

2.) Gen, fluff, smut, whatever, its all fair game here. Just tag your threads at the header if we are going into heavy topics. Alternatively, just stick to your own thread.

3.) Feel free to make up new threads if the current one is a drag to continue. No fuss from me.

4.) We're here to have fun. Leave the drama, if any, elsewhere. Otherwise hit me up at my PMs, discord, or plurk if you want to talk privately.

Thankfully, Orihime is within earshot as both he and Uruk's patron goddess Ishtar were having yet another quarrel with one another over what could be a trivial fight. But trivial or not, the ziggurat that he resides in as well as the numerous soldiers and priests garrisoned around had felt the very familiar tremors of the two clashing.

It didn't last long, thankfully to many, as Ishtar once again leaves in a huff and the king, once more irritated and stressed because of this selfish goddess, collapses to his throne to dismiss all that was present. He was done for the day, or at least for the time being until another emergency arrives.

With his hand covering his eyes and a sigh that was more like a growl than anything, Gilgamesh raises his voice to address the Servant skulking around in the halls. "Are you to bored that you keep patrolling the halls and not provide relief for the injured? I know you needed guidance for your duties, but I never expected you to need to be told daily. Well, whatever. Come. If you need me to give you instructions, then come to me instead of wandering around like a lost child."

A little bite in his words, but his anger is not towards Orihime. Just more with everything going on that his stress and blood pressure are reaching newer heights by each passing day. The rumors of a figure matching the description of his dearly departed friend didn't help matters either.

She stops midstep when he calls out to her, quickly turning on a heel to begin talking towards his throne. The bite lingering on Gilgamesh's words is enough to cause the redhead to bristle slightly, but the feeling quickly passes. While she doesn't fully understand the stressors plaguing him, she can empathize with him and know that he doesn't mean to lash to the way he does.

"I've finished healing the injured, Master," she says with a warm smile tugging at her lips as she approaches. "I do appreciate your patience with me when I am scatterbrained, but I came wondering if there was anything else I can help with..." Orihime's voice trails off as her head turns to look towards the entrance where Ishtar left. She wishes they didn't argue like they did, especially for her Master's sake, but she can understand that women (or Goddesses) like Ishtar can be difficult to deal with at times.

Turning her attention back to Gilgamesh, her smile widens as she closes some of the distance between them. Her hands clasped behind her back as she stopped a few feet from him, rocking on the balls of her feet. "Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help; I'm sure even the slightest bit of relief will help. "

"Hmm." A low hum echoed in the throne room and a slight shift in his position to get more comfortable later, the King then placed his chin ontop of his hand to prop up both his head and his attention back to his Servant. "Tell me again, Caster... what is your specialty as a mage? If you are a healer, there are many injured soldiers who require aid and succor coming in by the droves. Your work there is never done unless the momentary raids are at a pause. If you're strong in offense, then the front line is in need of your strength while Merlin squanders about. If defense is your talent, then the walls against the demonic front is needed." It wasn't really to dismiss her out right, but he IS leading a war against the threats of humanity until humanity's last Master arrives. Uruk is always first and foremost.

... although he is starting to rub a sore knot on the back of his neck. "If you truly are at a loss for work, then speak with Siduri. I'm already too annoyed to bother giving you a proper assignment. You have a brain, do you not? I am not going to instruct every single order to you like a dog when you are capable of thinking and making decisions yourself. Unless being treated like a mongrel is some sort of pleasure for you? Don't disappoint me by saying yes."

The smile on the redheaded servant's face quickly face as her master chastises her lingering and even though she understood the amount of stress he was under the tone he took with her still hurt. Her fingers gripped around the staff she held, bordering on being white-knuckled as she turned to glance down the hallway she just came from.

"I left Ayame and Shun'ō to help with the healing, they assured me they had the situation under control with the help of the others. Hinagiku, Baigon, and Lily are defending the walls respectively, though I suppose they could use my assistance. Tsubaki was supposed to help with the front lines, but he refuses to leave me." Something about not wanting to leave Orihime completely defenseless.

Much like Merlin, along with Orihime's other abilities, she could also summon her own versions of "servants" but they were simply extensions of her abilities instead of actual servants. It was exhausting to spread them out as she had them, but Orihime's mana reserve was rather vast, where she could go long periods of time sustaining on her reserves instead o feeding to refuel.

Turning towards Gilgamesh, she bowed deeply. "Forgive me, Master, causing you more stress wasn't my intention. You don't have to worry, I'm more than capable of keeping myself occupied with assignments I just —" her voice trailed off into a hum, thinking it better than to tell her master that she was worried about the amount of stress he was under. "If you'll excuse me, I'll take my leave."

There were many factors for him to be as he is, sure. But at this current juncture of the battle, there are things he can choose to ignore and things he will listen to. Especially when it comes to using the most usefulness from his warriors to his closest advisers. And listening to her explanation of delegating her duties to her own summoned spirits did quirk an eyebrow from him only to shake his head by the time she was done speaking.

"If you were planning to use your subordinates to do your work for you, then what tasks do you even have left to do now besides attempting to appease me? No... you were vying for my attention, so I shall give it. Besides--" His words cut off as he flicks his hand up for a small golden chalice to float out from his treasury. A sign of the king and his power... as well as how generous he can be even as a cruel tyrant.

Inside the cup, a silvery yet transparent liquid was present with Gilgamesh taking the first drink from it before extending it to his Servant. "A Caster with short supply of Mana is no good to me. Drink. While mortal men would experience a life changing moment from drinking nectar of the gods, a Servant as you should find it rejuvenating for your reserves. I will not see to it that my own vassal would disappear due to exhaustion. "
