A golden opportunity fit for a king. (Private to [personal profile] bitchcraft

[Marriage. Such a thing that is truly a ridiculous notion to even think of unless there was a woman truly worthy of his twisted form of 'love' and 'affections'. But even still, its not like Gilgamesh ever thought about dismissing such an invitation for this arrangement.

Even though they aren't related by blood, this was an arrangement brought to his brother-like friend, Enkidu. Of course, the Lancer Servant going through great leaps and bounds to convince the Golden King to at least consider on paying his potential bride a visit before passing judgment. And were it any other man, he would have done so already.

And adding to the fact that this woman is also a unique mage of sorts also caught his attention. Perhaps another magus after the Holy Grail? Heh... what a foolish goal, but still entertaining all the same. And that's what truly brings the King of Heroes right before the blonde haired woman before him in their private meeting room: Curiosity and a thirst for entertainment.

The room seemed to be fancy in itself. A crystal chandelier, red and golden color themed furniture from the curtains to the cushioned chairs he seats himself on, and black lacquered wooden table with golden etchings of lions and eagles carved in every corner and legs being the only thing separating the two of them. Eventually a hand hovers over the table before a bright glowing ripple appears and slowly descends a bottle of wine and two wine golden glasses, allowing the king to indulge himself to a nice drink and his... guest as well. For now.]

I shall tell you now that I am a man with very little patience. My time is precious and I do not like it to be wasted. [And a small sip from his glass and letting the other filled glass float on over to her side.] So tell me, witch. Why should I even consider the notion of having you be my woman? I have no need for magic tricks or any cheap glamour to entertain me... and other than that, I seem to have little information or interest about you. So do try to change that.

[ Finally, Beatrice thought. Some honest to god progress. She didn't contest being lead on a chained leash, because-- well... she did agree to play as his pet for at least part of the time, and the tension had finally broken, so there was no need to snap back at him. She strode along easily, remembering to fix her top back to normal using her magic once more. And any maid who sounded like they were disrespecting him got what they deserved, she didn't expect anything less of him.

She didn't break the silence because she wanted him to stew on what had been said to him. That, and it altogether seemed more comfortable to her as she observed everything from the chambers around her to the sight of his back. She could salvage the game that she'd been forced into. She would probably have to do a lot of things she didn't really want to along the way, though.

But what was being a witch without that kind of despair? ]

I imagine to be your bride, I have a lot of making up to do after that little scene. My, my.

[ She waits until he comes to a stop. ]

Rest assured, there are methods to my madness. If not some things, I know I can entertain you. I'm sure you could do with some of that, right?

[ She gazed around the room placidly, admiring it from head to toe. This indeed looked like her chambers back in her realm, and was more than suitable. But why had he suddenly gone so calm? Not letting her guard down, she kept an even stare on him as she listened to his words. So this was to be her room? How thoughtful of him. Here she had expected to be given a nice mattress somewhere in the incinerator room. ]

I understand completely, thank you. So with this business out of the way, how about you and I play a certain game?

[ She lifted herself backwards onto the bed and crossed her legs, testing the firmness of the mattress. Still, her eyes never left him. ]

What's one of the most valuable pieces a bride-- through every age--has to offer? What diminishes her worth if she doesn't come specifically prepared with it? Come now, I'm sure you know this one.

Indeed, I still have mine. I've never let a man touch me. How on earth could I offer myself as a bride without bringing my important bartering chip? [ She cackles-- and she's going to ignore the cow tit comment, as it's a little inopportune to interject between her monologue. ] Not once in a thousand years. No man has ever been worth my time. I thought, perhaps, that if I were to compete with you, we could hold a little wager.

[ She draws her pipe out of thin air and takes a drag from it. ] We'll play a game of words. If you win... I will let you verify my worth as a bride with your own two hands. If I win, we will play again, the next time on your terms, with your game. After all, shouldn't I prove my cleverness if I'm to keep up with you?

And as they say, something out of reach is more fascinating to chase and claim.

[ She really was doing it-- she really was bartering her chastity just to keep up in a game with him. What else could she offer? If she were a man, she'd find it enticing on her end. Being able to win over someone she wasn't able to force to her own whims on their terms, forcing them to bow their head low as they overturned a precious treasure. After all, of all the things in his treasure vault, that was one thing he didn't have and probably wouldn't mind dominating her with. Greed for a treasure unowned could only grow the more one didn't have it. ]
