[Man... It's troubling to Mayu about how the Servant looks good in almost any clothing. When they had first met, Enkidu's existence and very being was confusing overall to her, but she had long learned to accept him for the way he was. In a word, Enkidu was special. And she's glad it's gotten to the point where she can bravely ask him to go on a date with her.

She gives a casual gesture with the hand when he makes his remark.]

There's no need for flattery like that. I mean, I appreciate it. [She adds the last part hastily because she knows she can be abrasive and cold sounding when she doesn't mean to. Force of habit ever since she was a kid.]

We're going to go to an amusement park first and then we'll go eat and then watch a movie.

Oh! And fireworks. There's gonna be a show for those in the evening. I wouldn't want you to miss those.

[ A small grin forms across the Lancer's lips as the plan is laid out to him, making him raise both of his eyebrows to show his full impression. He had no idea what to do, but it looks like Mayu certainly taken the initiative and done some prep work already! ]

I'll have to admit, I half expected us to be winging it as we go along. Although now you have me curious to see exactly what's in store here. [ I mean, sure, when a Servant is summoned to a certain era, they have some common knowledge of what things are... but knowing it and actually SEEING it are two different things. ]

Sounds like a festive evening is in store for us tonight! Ah, but first... [ An arm is extended out for her to take. Whether it is via armlinking or hand holding, it is a date after all! And naturally, that means you'll have to be a proper escort for your date! ]

I'm going to assume that you'd rather not have me carry you across town like before. Just simple hand in hand walking to the amusement park, yes? I wonder just how amusing it can be? But before I ramble for too much longer, let's be off, shall we Mayu?

[Mayu's a diligent girl. Of course she wouldn't go forward without a plan(usually)!

When Enkidu extends his arm, Mayu has to take a second to decide how she should approach this... And hand holding it is. Well, hand holding while her face becomes flushed, but she accomplishes the task nonetheless!]

O-Of course we're just going to hold hands! It's easier than holding me and we won't get lost that way!

[ Aaah, there's that good old reliable flare up to the face that he is used to! And this is how things should be! Granted it is a date after all, its the best way to break the ice and ease up any nervous tensions that may have existed. After all, just because they're dressed fancy doesn't mean they can't be their regular selves!

And with that hand of hers in his, he gives hers a soft squeeze and moves to her side; Allowing her to take the lead and him to follow along with how things go... which, in a sense, is how they normally do it even outside of the Holy Grail War that isn't combat related.

Looks like this will be a different kind of battle for the two of them! ]

If you insist! Although if you do get tired, feel free to let me know. I don't mind carrying you. [ Not to mention she's a lot more lighter than Gilgamesh in full freakin' armor anyway. ] So what exactly does an amusement park particularly amuse with? I get the feeling that its more than something to make you laugh, I'm assuming.

Well... I'll take you up on that offer then.

[She's able to focus and just enjoy the touch of his hand around hers. It's nice. Mayu isn't sure the last time she was able to share a moment like this... Probably never. She's new to this whole business after all and if she overthinks it, she'd never move forward.

So instead, she'll indulge Enkidu and explain to him the magic, that is amusement parks.]

Depending on what you go on, it might make you laugh. An amusement park for humans, is a place where there are really grand and complicated machines that can take you high up into the air at high speeds. Up, down, around in circles... It doesn't sound impressive when I describe it with just words though.

[ Never let it be said that Servants knew everything. I mean, sure. They have the general gist of the world and the era that they are summoned in, but actually experiencing them is a whole different story! So he was captivated at her description of their destination as they made their way over to the amusement park. And it was absolutely written on his face that he was completely intrigued by the idea of a machine launching people in high speeds without using magic OR supernatural methods. ]

I see... so humans have evolved so far that they use their own creations to entertain themselves in such a way. I had no idea. I was still captivated at that 'television' you had in your home that I was sitting in one spot for hours before I realized what time it was.

Its surprising... I wonder why Gilgamesh never took me to such places before when I first arrived in this world? [ Of course with a bit of ~~time skipping~~ and quick short cuts, the pair would eventually see the amusement park just blocks away! And the festive music and the bright lights even from the distance was enough to get this Lancer more interested! ]

I smell... something sweet. And is that meat I also smell? And it looks like people are gathering in all sorts of booths from the looks of things. Are we coming to the right place? Its a bit different than what I had imagined it would be!

Try not to get too overwhelmed, Lancer. They sell all sorts of food too! I was going to make food for the both of us like usual...

[Mayu's cooking is impeccable after all and she had no problem taking on the extra labor of feeding the Servant even though he probably didn't need it. She just liked sharing her meals.]

... But Mom gave me an allowance so we'll have enough to spend to try what we can.

I'm not so accustomed to such a sensory overload, so you'll have to forgive me for being a bit overwhelmed with anticipation. As exciting things were back in Uruk, there weren't exactly this exciting at this level before.

[ I mean, current event aside in a certain mobile game, he isn't exactly wrong. The last time people actually celebrated was when the King of Jerks decided to be more chill when Enkidu came into the picture. But that's another story for another time ~~unless shared dream sequences happen~~, because now that they're getting close to the entrance of the amusement park, a thought came to him. ]

Mayu... a thought crossed my mind. What would you do if we were to run into any acquaintances of yours here? Shall I fade into my spirit form so no one is suspicious or shall we tell them plainly that we are on a date? I'd rather not be a cause of any unnecessary situations should they arise for you.

Um...

[Shit, she didn't think of that did she?! Her classmates tend to be stupidly gossipy about such matters and considering Mayu is someone who is well known in her year, words were gonna fly like squirrels.

On the one hand, she's been keeping Enkidu's presence at her home a secret and like he said, he can switch to spirit form so no one can see him. On the other hand, it's not like she's wants to hide him away and in fact, she likes having him physically next to her and if anyone asks...]

... Enkidu!

[Mayu suddenly grasps both of Enkidu's hands before they approach the ticket booth.]

Regarding that, I have something important to say!

[ Never let it be said that Enkidu never knew how to read certain cues. Even when he was whimsical when it comes to people he is close with, he is quick to revert to his battle mode personality when it is something important.

And boy, did it both show in his face and his tone the moment she said that and grabbed both of his hands to get his full attention. Immediately, he's kicked into battle mode like an actual Servant preparing for a fight. ]

I'm listening, Mayu. Say it and it shall be done. I am your weapon at your disposal.

I... I'm someone who gets easily ruffled and embarrassed. People can find my weak points more easily than they think even though at school my classmates think I have it all together because I'm a good student and I'm a good fighter and... And...

[GOD, she's losing her words here and her train of thought. She needs to make this clear as can be.]

... And I need to show more resolve and stick with it. So...

[HER FACE TURNS REALLY RED and she declares as firmly as she can.]

I-I'M PROUD TO BE YOUR DATE!

[ There was an immediate pause from the Lancer Servant. Any thought process he had, or words he was about to speak, or even actions he was about to perform had all ceased right then and there. Those were heart felt feelings that he had heard and the weight it had on him was almost like a command seal was placed on his soul.

Truly, it was the power of a maiden's pure heart. In which his own reply was to bring her hands up to his lips and lightly kissing her finger tips with the look of immediate relief was shown on his face. ]

And I, too, am proud to be yours. Your resolve and your passion. Your personality and charm. And most importantly, your acceptance and your ever growing maturity... these are all things I can't help but admire about you, Mayu.

[ And to take it one step forward, he now leans in to place one more kiss right on top over head before pulling away. ] I look forward to spending all the time in the world with you, Mayu.

[God, it's times like these where Mayu feels Enkidu is much too good for her. The kiss on her fingertips and her head? OVERDOING IT!? Usually she'd, react even more flustered, perhaps even lash out over not being used to such affection, but she merely squeezes her eyes shut instead and nods, trying to ignore the stares from around them at their public display of affection.

She takes a step back and nods furiously.]

S-SAME HERE!

Let's get in line for... The roller coaster! Yeah!

[And don't mind her, she'll be jogging to the line which isn't too long thankfully, but Mayu needs to shake the red out of her face.]

[ Seeing his Master dart out in a fluster was enough for the Lancer to know that he got her just right at the right moment. Since normally Mayu would have her guard up for such things, but to react like so? That meant her guard is down for him to a LOT of things!

But he isn't that mean. Mischievous after getting to know someone, yes. But he's not freakin' Gilgamesh when it comes to doing things like THAT. So as soon as Mayu finds her spot in the line, Enkidu just strolls on after her as he takes in the sights and sounds of the atmosphere.

... this really is nothing like Uruk. Humanity sure has grown in a lot of ways. Although there was one right that caught his attention now that he finally catches up with his Master and STILL staring at it. ]

... is that a boat shaped like a swan over there? What's the point in that over there? Because swans can swim or something of that nature?

Hm?

[Mayu turns to look at what Enkidu is seeing as they're in line for the roller coaster. Ah, boat swans...]

The Tunnel of Love ride...

[Got a little quiet didn't you Mayu.]

Oh, is that right? I see.

[ Oh, he notices that sudden quiet tone there from her answer. And naturally, like a certain bad influence from his first life, he just casually rolls with it as he places an arm right around Mayu's shoulder now that they had started to move in the line for the roller coaster. Public displays of affection? Oh yeah, he's going to show off as much as possible. ]

Sounds fun! How about we give that one a try after this ride? If we are on a date, then we may as well go all the way out, right?

[ Because what is the meaning to restraint to someone who has lived in the age of gods anyway? ]

Eh!?

[The suggestion gives Mayu a start and her face flares up... But she immediately coughs it away and crosses her arms with a firm nod. She's trying to change here! Change! She's older and can handle this sort of heart racing development!]

I... Yes, that should be fine! It's good to go on a slow moving ride after something as stimulating as a roller coaster.
